We live in an on-demand culture. If I told you two people spent their entire lives waiting and the Bible held them up as targets on the wall, how would you respond. Our culture would view a life marked by waiting as a life wasted. Perhaps we wait on the wrong things. If funny that the things in our life that shaped us into who we are today are rarely the sorts of things we anxiously await. What are you waiting for? In the meantime, don't waste your wait.

Tumult.  Words like these have been widely used to describe the current state of our nation.  But what if there was a better way forward?  This week we’ll be challenged by Jesus’ words to be peacemakers—following his example as the ultimate bringer of peace.  To experience peace with others, we first need to experience greater peace with ourselves.  And for that, we need Jesus like never before.
