French Toast Bake
Bake at 375* for 45-60 minutes
Ingredients:
½ cup melted butter (1 stick)
1 cup brown sugar
1 loaf thickly sliced bread (brioche, challah, Texas toast)
4 eggs
1 ½ cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Mix all ingredients in a bowl, pour into baking dish. Cover with foil and bake 30 min. Remove foil and bake another 15-30 min for crusty top. Or cover with foil and chill overnight in fridge. Morning, bake 30 min covered, remove foil, continue to bake 30 additional minutes.
SERVE with maple syrup, fruit compote, fresh fruit, whip cream.

Optional Topping:
For the overnight oats, use rolled oats, not quick oats or steel cut.
