Ruth was looking for someone in order to make a new start. We're all in search of something, hoping life will never be the same once we find it. There is a Mr. Right who has made all things right.

Am I going to be satisfied? We often live in a place of disappointment, making it all too easy to overlook God's blessings. But what the Lord has provided for his people is more than enough, as the story of Ruth chapter 2 depicts.

In times of trouble, we often long to be home. But home is more than a familiar place and the people we hold dear. Home is filled with things seen and unseen. Home is primarily where our God is.

The elders of the church must be trendsetters among the people of God. They must be hospitable to the saint and the stranger alike, with the goal of bringing those who are far off into the family of God.

God is for you, in the midst of suffering, hardship and difficulty. He is committed to your conformity to Christ, not necessarily your momentary happiness.

Who you repping? The elders of the church are representatives of God's people before a watching world. Satan lays snares to trap them and bring shame on Christ's church. Pray for your elders!

Our weakness is a stage to display the glories of Christ Jesus. We, like Paul, should boast in our limitations, inabilities, and circumstances because then the power of Christ is put on center stage.
