Jesus calls us “the light of the world,” and uses us to proclaim His grace and His glory to the world around us. This Sunday, we’ll see what the light of Christ has done for us (and continues to do in us), and how we are to shine that light to those in our lives.

August 31, 2022 - It's hard to imagine King Rehoboam's foolishness in light of knowing that he was King Solomon's son. Rehoboam lived by the rule of "new is always better." Rather than listening to the advice of those who been there before, he opted to listen to the voice of today.

This is a problem we often face as well. There is so much wisdom available from those who have gone before us, but we rarely take advantage of that wisdom because of its age.

This week we welcomed Pastor Jack Schneider. Every family has a history, and none is greater than our life in Christ, the Living Vine!

August 24, 2022 - Text: James 1:2-4 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."  We don't like going through the process nearly as much as we enjoy the finished product. However, it's going through the process (despite how uncomfortable it may be) that produces the desired goal.

The door is open to all people but it is narrow. Salvation isn't about doing, but trusting in the Lord; make every effort to trust the Gospel.

August 17, 2022 - What is anger and what role should it play in the life of the Christian? Are we allowed to be angry? Who/what should be we be angry at?

This week is a special service for the installation of our principal, Dan Dueck, and preparing for the first day of school. The focus of the message is on teaching the faith to our children, so that they do not fear, but approach this world with full confidence in God’s love and truth.

It’s a question we’ve wondered about and wrestled with for many years. I don’t expect this short rambling video to stop the question from being asked. Instead, these are simply my thoughts on the matter.

This is a continuation of last week’s message, only covering the inverse. Whereas last week Jesus warned us not to take pride in our abundance, this week Jesus teaches us not to despair over what we lack. He is the God who provides.

August 3, 2022 - As we look at Philippians 3:12-14, we see the encouragement to press on. We don't stop when we're tired. We stop when we're finished. Thanks be to God that the prize is well worth it and that even in the midst of our exhaustion, He gives us moments of rest and restoration.
