John 1:1–18 provides a summary of the fourth Gospel’s themes. These verses are rich in light and life, truth and grace. They are some of the most important words ever written! Travis Hartjen will be in town and ready to help shed light on these verses.

Thanksgiving Eve Sermon

November 24, 2021 - As we approach Thanksgiving, we see a powerful reminder in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 to give thanks in all circumstances. Why can we as Christians do this? Because we have the assurance of our salvation (we know we have the victory in the end) and because the Lord disciplines those He loves (in our hardships, we have opportunity to trust Him more).

As the story of salvation continues to unfold in our “God Speaks” sermon series, we see that the Lord is our great provider.

November 17 - We're looking at Psalm 142, and we have good news for the times when we feel overwhelmed and all alone. God is with us; He is for us. Though our troubles may be stronger than we are, God is mighty to save and brings us through all things by His goodness.

When God promises us something, it is as good as done. He works to ensure that it is done. He sacrifices so that it is done. As we think on what God has promised us and what He has sacrificed for us, we can respond with faithful worship and obedience. And in our times of doubt and failure, we find that God Speaks and sends a Substitute for us.

November 10, 2021 - Looking at Matthew 24:10-14, Jesus warns us against false prophets and messiahs who would deceive us. What “false christs” exist in our world?

We welcome Pastor Jack Schneider as our guest preacher and prepare our hearts to celebrate All Saint’s Day. All Saints' Day is a time to remember all the faithful who have gone before us and to give thanks for all who have yet to follow. That's why we remember who we are in Christ, and that we belong to Him alone!
