Money can have such a hold on us. Many people do not steward money well. Yet we are very clearly told in God's Word that we are called to steward money well. Listen to this sermon to find out what this looks like.

This week we focus on stewarding our time WELL according to Ephesians 5: "See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 4 But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.

God has entrusted us with four things, that we should steward them well. This week we focus on stewarding truth, which is mentioned 1 Thessalonians 2:4. We have a responsibility as Believers to be sharing the Gospel with others. We have a duty to share what we know, to fear God above people and live in obedience to Him. Watch out for the next few weeks where we focus on stewarding other areas.

Revelation 20:11-15

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. He is amazed at the faith that they display, a life walked by faith and not by sight. Join us in delving into how this woman comes to Jesus and asks for her daughters healing in faith.

As believers, we should have a desire to grow spiritually, to become more Christlike. We should also have a desire to see others become more Christlike, loving them even if we struggle to like them. It is important that we seek to grow in the characteristics in 2 Peter 1:5-7, building upon each one as we keep our focus on Christ. 2 Peter 1:5-7 is in the order it is in for a reason. Our faith does not immediately start with us being able to love as Christ loves. When we are pursuing Christlikeness and knowledge of Christ, slowly becoming more godly, then the result is brotherly kindness and love. So dive into what charity/love means biblically and how we can love others as Christ loves us.

As we've been studying 2 Peter 1 and the godly characteristics that God produces in us, we've seen that the focus toward the end of the passage shifts to our relationships with others. A genuine relationship with Christ should transform the way we treat and love those around us. As James reminds us, "With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God... My brethren, these things ought not to be so" (James 3:9–10).
