DISCLOSURE: Kevin (The Golden Bolt) received an advance copy of Saros from PlayStation
There are many spiritual successors to video games. Some are intentional homages, such as Akimbot, and others unintentionally capture specific essences and remind us of something we love. Saros reminds us why we love Ratchet & Clank. Akimbot...does not.

We're, somehow, a year and change away from seeing the next generation of Xbox and PlayStation hardware. The Steam Machine and Steam Frame are lurking in a nebulous "may release in 2026" limbo. There's an ocean of Android handhelds releasing seemingly weekly. So...are we too old to really be excited by any of this? What could really get us hyped?
