Welcome to Meatball Salad, the meaty pop culture podcast that keeps it light. What do Ke$ha, Jerry Seinfeld, Kevin McCallister, Shaggy, Selina Meyer, Frank Egglehofer, and Electric Six have in common? They’re all responsible for words that have gotten wedged in our brains over the years. We brought in Will Green, a real live comedian and fine Michigander, to talk about the catchy, wordy brainworms that never seem to die.

This is Meatball Salad, the meaty pop culture podcast that keeps it light. On this episode, we chat with a very good pal, Katie McCurley, about our shared love of rewatching TV episodes. Again and again and again. Is that because it’s fun? Or is it to numb the anxieties of daily life? Maybe a little of both. Join us as we take turns sharing our favorite TV episodes that we watch for our health as much as our enjoyment.
Check out this article that explains today’s concept in greater detail!

Welcome back to Meatball Salad, the meaty pop culture podcast that keeps it light. We invited C2R Research Czar Tony to join us for a little friendly competition while drafting our favorite albums, songs, and music videos from 1995. It’s a pretty great trip down memory lane if you’re of a certain age. You might even learn something!
Apologies in advance if you’re a fan of Phish or the swing revival of the 1990s (Jeff has some choice words regarding both).

Prince Jeffrey, President & Co-Founder of C2R Enterprises, has a very special announcement about what you can expect to see in your podcast feed in the immediate future.
Can you Christmas believe your Christmas eyes? We're just in time with a Christmas surprise.
Join Jeff, Angie, and special guest C2R Research Czar Tony as they draft their favorite Christmas movies (and characters). Yule love it.
Can you believe it's already time for C2R Seasonal Favorites?? Gobble gobble!
I think you get it. Thanksgiving = Planes, Trains & Automobiles. Join Angie and Jeff as they wander around with Steve Martin and John Candy, traversing the Midwest in an attempt to get home for the holidays. We've got personal travel horror stories, anecdotes about how Jeff is bad at yelling, and the finest analysis of this John Hughes 1987 classic you've ever heard.
Happy Thanksgiving, dear listeners. May all your rent-a-cars be in the space they're meant to be in. May all your trunks be hoisted in tandem with a friend you just met. And may all the pillows you touch be actual pillows.
Yes hi hello we’re back randomly just in time for Halloween. As the title suggests, this episode is kind of like your favorite combo meal at a certain crappy American diner chain: a little bit of everything (everything spooky that is). In the same way you pick your favorite candy out of the pillow case first after trick-or-treating, Jeff and Angie have their favorite Halloween-themed viewing rituals they seek among the streaming services each year. From sitcom stalwarts to cannibalistic cinema classics, join your C2R hosts as they dive somewhat deeply into a collection of shows and movies they depend on to make the season spooky.

Can you believe it's been a whole three decades of butt-whippin' time? We wanted to commemorate the occasion by re-releasing one of our favorite episodes with a hopefully fun surprise at the end (which Jeff calls an "Easter Egg," but if you announce that out loud, it's not really an "Easter Egg" anymore, is it?). Please take this time to sit and contemplate what it actually means to feel the rhythm, feel the rhyme—and listen to this episode while you do it.
Like Jeff with Wayne’s World, Cool Runnings was one of the first movies Angie memorized. She practiced her Sanka impression religiously, and thankfully there is no tape recording or home video proof (it was 1993, ok?). We discuss the likeability of this movie transcending age, gender, and genre preference because of its unique charm and humor. Plus, we do some true story fact checking. So without further ado: C2R listener, ya dead?

Hey listener! You got somethin’ hangin’ outta your nose! We’re overjoyed to share this episode in time for the 30th anniversary of Rookie of the Year, an iconic baseball-themed movie picked lovingly by Angie. Join us as we reminisce about one of the movie’s filming locations—and our home for more than a decade—Oak Park, Illinois.

You may have heard us mention C2R Research Czar Tony in past episodes. Well, he’s a real person, and we had the pleasure of having him live in the studio for C2R’s very first Cinematic Draft. Join Jeff, Angie, and Tony as they nervously survey their draft boards and take their top picks in the categories of Drama, Comedy, Action/Crime/Horror, Blockbuster, Oscar, and Wildcard from 1999 to 2004. Prepare yourself for true psychodrama. This episode is a non-stop pulse-pounding thrill ride of on-the-clock decisions, great movie memories, misunderstood rules, and missed opportunities. Listen to find out who lines their pockets with Hollywood gold and who inadvertently steps in a big pile of stinky cinematic regret.
