Formed in Montreal, Quebec in 2012, Big Brave is a trio specializing in experimental music both heavy and poetic. Their music has been called chaotic and violent, as well as vulnerable and beautiful. Ahead of their latest record, A Chaos Of Flowers (on Thrill Jockey), Robin, Tasy, and Mathieu hang out to talk about the making of the album, their approach to songwriting, and how they’ve reached a point in their career where they can do pretty much whatever they want in terms of production and experimentation.
