Welcome to the latest episode of the Cruz Coaching Podcast, where we have the pleasure of speaking with Kirsten Davis Wright, a professional soccer player who currently plays as a forward for Racing Louisville in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).
Kirsten was born on September 8, 1998, in St. Louis, Missouri, and stands at an impressive 5-foot-9. Prior to joining Racing Louisville, Kirsten played college soccer at Texas Tech, where she had an outstanding career, registering 112 points, 45 goals, and 16 game-winning goals in 78 appearances. She was also named the Big 12 Conference Offensive Player of the Year after scoring 14 goals and providing 6 assists in her final season.
In her first year as a professional with Racing Louisville, Kirsten made 18 appearances, 10 of which were starts, and scored two goals while providing one assist. Kirsten was the only Racing Louisville player to score in the 2022 Challenge Cup, regular season, and The Women’s Cup tournament.
Kirsten's talents have also been recognized by U.S. Soccer, as she has represented the United States as a youth international at the U-18, U-19, and U-20 levels, participating in tournaments in Honduras and Ireland.
