My name is Karyn Inder and welcome to The Model Tongue Podcast. A podcast that is dedicated to providing a platform for others to speak their truth and find their voice.
In today's episode, we welcome Alexie Landry, co-founder of Crying Out Loud (formerly Lost & Found). Crying Out Loud is a retail shop and social hub where people can find the words to all life events that often leave us speechless. Alexie is one of four friends who have a shared experience of becoming a widow at a young age and today, she breaks down grief (it’s not exactly 5 steps) healthy and unhealthy ways to cope, how to support someone who has lost a loved one and how to talk to children when it’s difficult to find the words. We also discuss mourning during a pandemic, how it’s different and how to ensure you receive the closure that you need.
