Cryptic Allusion CryptoCast

We're back with the 2nd portion of our interview with ViperScorpion Interactive! Have fun, and don't listen at work; we've heard it gives your bosses something worthwhile to discuss. *shudder* Recorded on Jan 08, 2008.

Happy New Year, everyone! We all hope your holidays and new year went smoothly, and many parties were had. Now back to the grind: the title for this CryptoCast rather self-explanatory. If you can't understand it, I can't help you, and you shouldn't listen to this podcast. Recorded on Jan 08, 2008.

Roddy, Pam and Mike talk about IGDA, LinkedIn, Penumbra, Aquaria by Bit-Blot, Crayon Physics, Bioshock, mega-mergers in the mainstream industry, and other random sundries

An unusual bit of craziness this week, as we had everyone in the same physical location, plus a few extra people! Mike, Roddy and Pam get together with Stephanie (Pam's Aunt: not a gamer) and Mary Ann (one of our bestest friends: a heavy gamer and super multi-tasker) plus the best man in our wedding calls in on my phone while we're recording! How good can his timing be? Of course, we discuss the requisite amount of games and news, with a bit of controversy over hardcore gaming, and proceed to dwindle into the ether. Stream of consciousness? No, it's more of a stream of nonsensical obscenities...you've been warned! Recorded on Nov. 07th, 2007.

In this episode, we find our Cryptic hero flanked and dis-Allusioned by two unknown co-hosts! (hint: one of them is a hot chick!) The new crew talks about some absolutely beautiful indie games, some crazy ones, and a few indie game-related websites. Afterwards, they turn their gaze towards the big leagues and complain about Sony and Microsoft. Because, everyone knows it's high fashion to complain about big companies. Stay tuned all the way through the end for bloopers!

Don't get too excited; this episode has been proven to make sounds like a Hoover vacuum!

The episode in which Roddy makes fun of Dan, Dan makes fun of Roddy, and a fat man gets his Twinkie dues. Twinkiedoos: the new, wholesome snack from your fiends at Cryptic Allusion! Yum.

Delve into Cool Herders in more ways than you can imagine, Managing a hobby group, and talk about Star Jones (WTF?).

Today we talk about who we are, what we've been working on, some tips for creating new and unique "IP", and the goings-on in the indie developer world.
