Dan Fessler is the Chief Visual Officer of Manticore Games, the developer of Core, a platform for making real-time multiplayer games and experiences for the Metaverse.

Before Manticore, Dan was Art Director at A Bit Lucky, a social games company acquired by Zynga in 2012 where he worked primarily on VR and other R&D projects.

Dan's background is as a pixel artist, having started his career in the pre-iphone era of mobile gaming and worked on various indie games including as the lead environment artist on Chasm.

Official Bio: As a serial entrepreneur who has served as the leader/CTO of several startups with successful exits, I have built a horizontal skill set including product management, UX/UI design, full-stack development, and sysadmin.

I quit my job as Technical Lead Manager at Tron Foundation on January 10th. At Tron, I developed TronBox and Tron QuickStart and contributed heavily to TronWeb. Also, I entirely re-wrote TronGrid (an Infura-like infrastructure), making it fast, reliable, and scalable.

Before, I ran 0xNIL, Initial Free Offerings, Tweedentity, and a couple of other projects, mostly on Ethereum. As a side project, I am developing a decentralized, cross-chain card game using NFT tokens.

From December 2015 to July 2017, I have been a Principal Engineer in the Growth Team at Yahoo. I focused on Golden Gate, a complex, critical infrastructure that manages all the interstitial pages for any mobile web app in Yahoo, generating 96% of all the non-organic installs of Yahoo's mobile apps. After Verizon has acquired Yahoo, I decided to leave and dedicate some time to learning about smart contracts, blockchains, decentralized apps, etc.

Before Yahoo, I was a Senior Android developer at Turo (formerly known as RelayRides), which acquired SocialStudio at the end of May 2015.

In SocialStudio, from March 2014, I worked on the Android version of FADE, a social network for college students. Before, I developed JumpCam's Android application. We launched it in November 2013, and the Google Play Editorial Team selected JumpCam as an Editor's Choice for Top Apps in 2013.

From 2006 to 2012, I co-founded, managed, and sold Passpack, the first host-proof hosting online password manager.

Before, I did many other things, but the list would be too long :-)

That said, my real nature is artistic. In my spare time, I make short movies (https://vimeo.com/francescosullo), write songs (https://soundcloud.com/sullof/sets/cinque-canzoni), write stories, et cetera. Life is beautiful.

Right now, I am mostly helping startups to define their product and perfect their pitch to investors.

Driven by crafting unique visual experiences for Film, TV, Games and emerging technologies, Chris Ebeling is a world-class Animator, Creative Director, Writer and Digital Artist having worked on Hollywood blockbusters such as The Lego Movie’s, The Great Gatsby, Gods of Egypt and Happy feet 2. Supplementing his extensive film and VFX background, Chris has successfully creative directed projects in the real-time space, with experience across games as well as virtual and augmented reality projects.

Chris’s experience in feature film animation joined with his leadership in education and mentoring made him an ideal candidate for this crucial role in laying the foundations and building the Animal Logic Academy at the University of Technology, Sydney.

Here Chris used his wealth of industry experience to mentor young artists and creators of the future, pushing them to co-create and innovate while testing the boundaries of current and emerging technologies through a first of its kind’ Masters of Animation and Visualization.

Chris has since moved on to co-found his own digital creative studio, Virtually Human. Here, the core is to keep people, of all ages, emotionally engaged through immersive digital entertainment. Exploring emerging technologies in gaming, data and mixed reality. With a strong focus to constantly innovate by bridging the gap between the real world and the virtual world, where the two become inseparable

With his extensive experience in games and CG film development coupled with his passion for Virtual and Mixed Reality, Chris’s goal is to help define the visual language and capabilities of these emerging technologies, contributing to understanding and full potential of these interactive media platforms.

Fast forward to today, and Virtually Human has produced a smash hit in ZED RUN, one of the (if not THE) top metaverse project on Polygon with a whopping $100 million plus valuation as of the recording of this interview.

Former Product Manager at Altitude Games and now one of the co-founders of Playcheck Games, working on blockchain games like Battle Racers and Mushroom Mania. Started his career in the gaming industry at a Chinese mobile games publisher. He started-out in Customer Service, before he transitioned into marketing and went on to lead the market planning team of the Shenzhen-based studio.
