The crypto space has been filled with leaked documents and messages this week, with the US Crypto Bill being leaked prematurely and an anonymous user on twitter threatening to leak Telegram messages from big players in the crypto space. Both have been big topics of discussion, some calling into question the validity of these leaks and what is really the truth. US Crypto Bill allegedly leaked

During the late hours of Monday, a set of documents with the ‘EMBARGOED’ watermark started doing the rounds on social media. Apparently, the 600+ page US Crypto Bill has been leaked. Sponsored by U.S. Senators Cynthia Lummis, Republican of Wyoming, and Kirsten Gillibrand, Democrat of New York, aims to install guide rails around the digital asset space.

Planned leak of 137GB of crypto scam related telegram messages

An anonymous Twitter user has announced that they're planning to release 137GB of Telegram chats that, in his words, "will likely tear a rift in the entire crypto community." They claim the platform suffered an exploit in October 2019 that allowed them to collect messages that were sent by a number of "targeted individuals" — crypto influencers among them

The Future of Gaming on the Blockchain

Hanke was taken with SpotX’s work and acquired the studio. “The potential for web3 is to move us back — to a more decentralized version of the internet,” Hanke said. “And to recapture some of that spirit and vision that was there when it started.”

Game developer Akatsuki announces $20 million web3 fund

Japanese entertainment and gaming firm Akatsuki said on Wednesday that it has raised a $20 million fund focused on investing in web3 projects. The fund, dubbed Emoote, will look to back startups working on projects in GameFi, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and the metaverse, Akatsuki said in a press release. The name Emoote was chosen to signal that NFT consumption is based on "emotional values," Akatsuki added.

Jackson Palmer, the Australian co-creator of Dogecoin, recently spoke to Australian news outlet Crikey where he gave his opinion of our new twitter overlord. Jackson described Mr Musk as “a grifter” who “sells a vision in hopes that he can one day deliver what he’s promising, but he doesn’t know that. He’s just really good at pretending he knows.

Is it Game Over for Easy Money?!?

The US Federal Reserve has had another meeting this week, deciding unanimously to increase the interest rates by half a percentage point, setting the scene for economies to do the same around the world. The US central bank announced its biggest interest rate increase in more than two decades, increasing its benchmark rate by 0.5 percentage points to a target rate range of between 0.75% and 1%. This of course follows on the 0.25 percentage point increase in March.

BINANCE invests $500 Million towards Elon Musk’s Twitter acquisition

Binance, one of the largest global crypto exchanges, has shown up in a list of 18 other investors giving Elon Musk financial backing for his twitter acquisition. Binance is one of the only crypto related companies on the list, but the company is committing to invest $500 million towards Musk’s plan.

Microstrategy would face margin call if Bitcoin drops below $21,000

Microstrategy has amassed more than 129,000 bitcoin since the software company began buying the cryptocurrency with debt in 2020. CFO Phong Le recently said in an earnings call that the coin would have to drop below $21,000 before the company would have a margin call
