"Learning in War-Time" was originally given by C.S. Lewis as a radio address in the middle of World War II. During this talk, Lewis discusses whether or not things such as learning, scholarship, and the arts have a place in the midst of a time so serious as war. Lewis goes on to discuss how wartime is not so different as we think from any other time; life is always lived on the precipice of heaven and hell.
