"Learning in War-Time" was originally given by C.S. Lewis as a radio address in the middle of World War II. During this talk, Lewis discusses whether or not things such as learning, scholarship, and the arts have a place in the midst of a time so serious as war. Lewis goes on to discuss how wartime is not so different as we think from any other time; life is always lived on the precipice of heaven and hell.

This sermon, delivered by Jonathan Edwards in 1723, discusses the pleasantness of a life in pursuit of Jesus Christ. Christians are not only promised joy in the age to come, but we get a foretaste of that joy in this life. Edwards outlines how following Christ only denies us pleasures that will ultimately cause us sorrow, while allowing us pleasures that are greater and sweeter than any others.

This sermon by Charles Spurgeon discusses the Bible as the Word of God. As God's written word, the Bible is authoritative, full of truth, and revealing of God's merciful nature.  There is nothing in the Bible that is unimportant; every subject upon which it speaks is essential. Most of all, the truths within the Bible can make us wise unto salvation. Finally, Spurgeon discusses the neglect and mistreatment of the Bible and its effects on our lives.

This sermon, given by Jonathan Edwards in 1722, is all about the Biblical concept of holiness. Edwards discusses what holiness is, why it is necessary in the Christian life, and how to know whether or not you are holy.

On June 8, 1941, C.S. Lewis delivered this sermon, "The Weight of Glory", which would go on to be one of the most renowned sermons of the 20th century. Lewis discusses the scriptural meaning of the word "glory" and how it affects us as Christians, both in our earthly lives and into eternity.

On January 6, 1856, Charles Spurgeon delivered this message from Isaiah 45:22, the same text that led Spurgeon to salvation only a few years prior. In this sermon, Spurgeon  discusses how, throughout all of history, God has made it clear to man time and time again that He is God, and beside Him there is none else. The second half of the sermon gives a beautiful outline of the simplicity and beauty of the gospel message.
