The CSIRO has released research that paints a concerning picture of the nation’s future eating habits.
The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Public Health reveals that, without intervention, Australians are expected to eat more unhealthy foods while cutting back on healthy options, making it unlikely that the nation will meet nutrition targets.
Senior CSIRO Research Scientist Dr Gilly Hendrie told Sofie Formica, "What we found with the modelling that we did with this decline in diet quality, it's a bit concerning, but we hope that this can be an early warning system to maybe help get us back on track."
