Yesterday, I went to the mall to have fun. I went to watch a very funny Nigeria 🇳🇬 movie and after the movie, I wanted to have more fun by trying out new things.
I came out from the cinema building and I saw a lot of games outside, games I’ve never played before.
I decided to try out the overboard, the one that’s like skate board but this one is electric.
I remember the first time I tried the main skate board, I fell down and remained on the ground like I owned the ground.
Stars were rolling on my head and I didn’t want to make the same mistake...
So I humbly told the owner of the overboard that I’m a new comer and I’ve never rod on an overboard before..
He told me not to worry that he will coach me till I’m fine.
I paid the money for 30minutes ride.
The trainer instructed me on what to do and anytime I followed the instructions, the result was predictable except from the fact that I was new and shaking.
I put my legs on the board and tried to get my balance as the man was holding me.
Finally I was moving on my own after the man told me I could do it.
I usually see people riding this stuff and I used to think it’s easy.
It’s actually easy
The only reason it’s hard is because you don’t know and you will not know until you try and experience it yourself
So I started riding on my own on a slow pace
I wanted to go faster like the other guy
Yes, I applied nitroboost and guess what happened 😂
I fell down, this time not totally on the ground, I felt a sense of relief.
I go up again and started riding
I found out a way to fall and I avoided it and I’m good at overboarding now..
The title of this post is TRAINING AND PRACTICE
I know you want to be a pro
You want to live the reality of your imagination right ?
It starts with training and then
Practice...
Embrace training and after which practice...
Don’t be only a consumer, someone who didn’t even read but practice will always be better than someone who read but never practice.
Practice will make you fail on time and learn how not to fail...
Enjoy the rest of your day
