Caring for the vulnerable among us is an integral part of our faith. It is one of the core ways in which the "word of God increased". What does that look like in our modern age? What does that look like in your daily life?

Practicing the way of Jesus will inevitably lead us into a confrontation with external and internal resistance to God’s desire and plan to heal, liberate, and commission us as agents of his unfolding Kingdom. Joy, even amidst suffering, is waiting should we accept the invitation to trust and participate in his salvation story.

Today Luke reminds us of a defining feature of the first-century church—a reminder that carries with it a sacred invitation.

Today, as we listen to stories, we are reminded that practicing the way of Jesus is how his life and story continue in and through our own.

Today we witness the apostles counter cultural patterns of continuation and see a clear invitation to a deeper experience with Jesus.
