Since the last episode, The Green Plantain and yours truly visited Greece and Turkey on a tour that took our family to the ruins of Akrotiri in Santorini, Greece.
Akrotiri is not a place of fantasy; it is a prehistoric city whose excavation takes its name from a modern village set on a nearby hill because the site's name in antiquity is not known.
This is a historical fiction story of friendship and serendipity in antiquity and modern times. The young girl's name is Eleni, a nod to our excellent guide in
Athens.
