San Jose, CA - The San Jose Barracuda (9-5-0-0) erased three different deficits on Sunday night at Tech CU Arena and would not take the lead until Luca Cagnoni sealed it with an overtime winner at 3:25 to upend the Calgary Wranglers (12-3-1-0), 5-4.

The San Jose Barracuda (2-1-0-0) got 26 saves from Yaroslav Askarov en-route to a 5-0 win over the Iowa Wild (0-3-0-0) on Saturday night at Tech CU Arena in front of 3,942 fans. In the victory, Donovan Houle scored his first two AHL goals and Luca Cagnoni also netted his first in the AHL. Askarov now has shutouts in his first two games with the Barracuda, making 48 saves in 120 minutes of action. It was his 11th career shutout and he has now won seven in a row versus the Wild dating back to the 2022-23 season.

The San Jose Barracuda (1-0-0-0) got 22 saves from Yaroslav Askarov and a pair of goals from Kasper Halttunen in his AHL debut, blanking the Ontario Reign (0-1-0-0) 5-0 on Saturday night at the Toyota Arena. The shutout win was the first in a season opener in franchise history and Askarov’s 10th of his AHL career. The Barracuda failed to beat the Reign last season in eight attempts.
