  • WTMusic: Jesse Cook – Good Good Guitar
One of the hallmarks of the We Talk Music podcast is diversity among the musical genres, and it's for that reason we are happy to present classical acoustic guitarist Jesse Cook on the show.

Jessie recently released a new track titled One World One Voice. This unique experiment features him collaborating directly with his fans, who participated from across the world by singing the lyrics. This created a beautiful, moving moment that can be enjoyed by everyone while sending a positive message across the world.

Jesse takes the time to tell us all about how this idea came to be from conception to completion. We also go in depth with Jesse Cook talking guitar and technique. If you are an aficionado of the guitar as an instrument then you will want to listen and learn as we examine what makes guitar resonate like perhaps no other instrument across so many cultures worldwide with a true master.

Thanks to Jesse for joining us and make sure to check out his excellent Jesse Cook Website to keep up with all the latest from him.

  • WTMusic: Michael Des Barres – Remarkable
What a career Michael Des Barres has had. From the stage to the big screen to television and musical concerts, this is a man who's literally done everything.i

Most recently Michael has re-imagined the Sex Pistols classic Anarchy in the UK.  I's gone from an angry punk rocker to a slow, powerful ballad representing our times. Truly, it's a remarkable effort.

But of course there's a million topics we could cover with Michael Des Barres, and we try and fit in as many as we can, such as:

    * How his version of Anarchy in the UK came to be and supporting the Poor People's Campaign.
    * His thoughts on comparing music legends of the past with today's performers.
    * His sudden and unexpected performance in front of tens of millions at Live Aid singing for Power Station.
    * His singing voice compared to former Power Station lead Robert Palmer.
    * If he had any idea his role of Murdoc on the original MacGyver would lead to future appearances.
    * His very pointed thoughts on Steven Seagal's behavior towards the cast and crew on Under Siege.
    * His contribution to the classic WKRP episode Hoodlum Rock that changed the whole episode for the better.
    * The disaster that was the New WKRP in Cincinnati sitcom.

If all that doesn't tempt you to listen to the Michael Des Barres interview we're not sure what will. How about imply this? We promise you a great listen, simple as that, so check it out and please help spread the word.

  • WTMusic: Kim Mitchell – Canadian Treasure
Kim Mitchell is on the We Talk Music podcast. For your hosts Brett and Morten this is a unique thrill, as within the Great White North Kim Mitchell is an equivalent star to what John Mellencamp is in the United States.

For that reason there's a thousand questions to ask this humble Canadian legend.

With a catalog of chart topping singles dating back to his time in Max Webster to his solo career and life lessons learned along the way we have a great chat with the man shortly before his induction into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Join us for some great insight on Kim Mitchell the man as well as his new music from The Big Fantasize, his first album in 13 years, and the lead single Wishes.
