Are you ready to be inspired while hearing about a great new album? Then We Talk Music is the podcast for you on their latest show talking with Johnny Gioeli.

Known to many as the voice of early 90’s hard rockers Hardline, as well as his time with and legendary guitarist Axel Rudy Pell, over the years Johnny Gioeli has garnered more stories and opinions than you can imagine. Don’t worry though, as he shares many of the best with us while telling everyone about his latest project, GIOELI-CASTRONOVO – Set The World On Fire, from Frontiers Music.

From the friendship he has with Dean Castronovo, to how they decided who would sing what parts, to the role producer Alessandro Del Vecchio played in putting it all together, there’s a lot of great stuff in the interview.

Plus, we get the scoop on Johnny Gioeli working with Pledge Music to donate proceeds to the HelpHopeLive: Joe Barber Fund. At only 18 years of age, Joe Barber suffered paralysis stemming from a horrible accident. It’s a fascinating tale of how Johnny Gioeli’s upcoming solo release came to be, as well as how and why he is supporting the charity. It’ll touch your heart, we are sure of it.

So download or stream and tell others, but just try thr episode, and find out why Johnny Gioeli is WTM co-host Brett’s favourite singer!

Yakmala! Yakmala! It’s a Shaolin kinda day!

This episode has our five heroes digging into an almost-forgotten tale from the extremely popular No Retreat No Surrender franchise which is more commonly referred to as American Shaolin. Strangely as well as being released as NRNS 4 (or 5, depending on what site you visit), it also hit shelves as King of the Kickboxers II !

Welcome back for more Kung Fu Electric Boogaloo. Your five hosts continue their search for the ultimate B-Movie with the next entry in the “White Dragons: All American Ninjas” season.

After being humiliated in the ring by a dirty kickboxer who pulled down his shorts and then hit him, a martial arts student travels to China to enter a monastery where he may learn the Shaolin form of fighting. The monastery teaches non-violence, but everyone knows that sooner or later the student will catch up with the bad guy.

Changing up the pace of films in this White Dragons season, American Shaolin brings more humour than we’ve seen so far and asks the tough questions like “what sort of porn do monks like?” and “how did a Korean-American become the keeper of Chinese tradition?”

Also, this has a musical number!? Yes it does!

As always, the KFEB hosts will provide ratings for the films that are based on the fun, enjoyment, and craziness of the film. These scores will be tabulated and an on-going grid will keep you up to date with the search.

So sit back and enjoy the laughs as KFEB travels to the wackiest Shaolin temple yoy’ve ever seen!

Frank is a stunningly original graphic novel from cartoonist Ben Rankel and publisher Alexander Finbow of Renegade Arts Entertainment, and the tale behind the tale of this wonderful piece of historical fiction is almost as exciting as the book itself.

Ben and Alex join the We Talk Comics podcast to fill in everyone on the creation of the GN inspired by the real life events in Frank, Alberta, in 1903 during the Frank Slide that devastated the local mining community, how the idea to mix in a murder mystery to those events came to be, and the strategy for marketing the book.

It’s a very insightful, and just plain fun episode, so check it out, and pick up your very own copy of Frank!
