Cultivate - A Podcast of the Evergreen Association

Rev. Paul Schneider serves the Evergreen Association as the Associate Executive Minister of Administration and Operation. In this conversation, we explore his interest in organization and structure. We also get to explore a little about his life outside of Evergreen and his love for popular culture.

In this episode, we join Rev. Dr. Marcia Patton, our former Executive Minister of the Evergreen Association, and Rev. Douglas Avilesbernal, our current Executive Minister, in discussing the two central components of our Evergreen connection in Caucuses and Committees.

Our guest Rev. Shavon Walker who works at the Evergreen regional office shares about her personal work and calling in social media along with her vision for how churches can innovate in the media and technology. We also have thoughts for the church as a whole in developing their relationship with the ever-changing landscape of social media.

It's our Advent episode of "Cultivate"! This time around we sit down with the co-pastors at the historic Seattle First Baptist Church. We go to many places sharing and reflecting about the joys and challenges of advent in ministry and in our personal lives. May you all be blessed in this season!

In this episode of Cultivate, we have conversations with Rev. Dr. Victoria Carr-Ware and the Evergreen Anti-Racism Team (ART) to discuss advocacy against racism in our churches and how the Evergreen Association strives to make this happen. Rev. Victoria also gives us perspective of how we can advocate for people of color and be allies in the fight against prevailing narratives of white supremacy.

Our guests in this episode from the Anti-Racism Team are Rev. Wim Mauldin, Caitlin Thomas, and Rev. Brooke Rolston.

Welcome to the Evergreen Association's brand new podcast! In our first Cultivate episode our guest is the Executive Minister of the Evergreen Association, Rev. Douglas Avilesbernal. Together, we explore Evergreen's unique role within the American Baptist denomination and what its unique approach to diversity and inclusion could offer the world.
