You’ve done the work outlined in the last episode where we talked about the foundational research you need to have completed before getting started. Now it’s time to actually put that together in a format that a potential employer will read and review.
When it comes to your resume, you need to think of this document as doing the talking for you when you aren’t in the room. Pulling your reader in within the first 6 seconds is key to grabbing their attention and reminding them that you are indeed the right candidate for the job.
Distilling all your professional accomplishments, ambition, passion, and personality onto one or two pieces of paper seems next to impossible. You’ve done so much, you have countless skills and interests, you are capable of learning just about anything if they would only give you the chance to do it, right?!
Today we will talk through what you actually need on your resume and how you can put it all together so that it gets noticed by the right people.

Your resume is the document that has to speak FOR you when you put it in front of potential employers. Because it is taking the place of you being able to share that experience yourself, we need to figure out what we want it to say before we even start. Staring at the blinking cursor on the word document on front of you can feel a bit daunting so we want to go through a process to prepare before we even begin.
It feels like a lot to consider but I’m going to walk you through it. I just need you to trust the process.
Follow along with me today as I walk you through this process and subscribe to the podcast for the updated information as it rolls out. As always, you can grab the shownotes at CultivatedGrowthAcademy.com or connect with me on Instagram.
