HEMU is a DJ, producer and sound artist from Mendoza, Argentina, whose work explores the deeper and more atmospheric edges of electronic music. While rooted in house and microhouse, his productions often move between ambient textures, broken rhythms and immersive soundscapes, with a focus on mood, space and gradual development.

Alongside his club-oriented releases, HEMU has released an album blending ambient and breaks influences, and is currently preparing a new full-length ambient record. His work is driven by texture, subtle movement and a cinematic approach to composition.

Recorded especially for CultKitchen Radio Show, the mix drifts through hypnotic rhythms, spacious atmospheres and delicate melodic elements, inviting the listener into a slow and continuous journey. We welcome @andrei-0id to our podcast series — the solo project of Andrei Antonets, a Russian composer born in Riga, music producer and electronic musician who has been active in electronic music since the 1990s.

For this episode, OID presents something exclusive, intimate and personal: a metamix of his audio diary recordings — mostly unreleased fragments and tracks, woven together with field recordings collected over a decade of travelling from Bali to New York City, from Moscow to LA.

The result is less a conventional mix than a map of memory: drifting between places, sketches, private moments and unfinished ideas. It moves like a diary heard from the inside — fragmented, cinematic and alive with the texture of real environments.

Under the OID name, Andrei has released many records on Russian and European labels. His work also extends beyond solo releases: he has written music for feature films, short films, museum and video installations, theatre productions and numerous advertising projects.

Over the years, OID has created remixes for artists such as Kolibri, Nike Borzov, Mumiy Troll, SBPCh, B2, and others, and has collaborated with international names including dOP, Pilocka Krach, Afrika Bambaataa, Popnoname, DJ Koze, Blent and Dasha Rush.

Andrei is also known as a co-founder and composer of Alexandroid, one of the most distinctive Russian electronic projects of the turn of the century. In 2004, Alexandroid received the Grand Prix of the Radio France Internationale Electronic Music Award as the most interesting project in Eastern Europe, selected by a jury chaired by Laurent Garnier.

We’re pleased to welcome Antias to our podcast series — the multi-genre project of Alexey Danilkin, originally from Ryazan and now based in Zelenograd in Russia.

For the past decade, Antias has been releasing music on dub techno labels across Europe, as well as on Hello Strange in Saint Petersburg and Resonance Moscow. Over the years, he has also recorded more than 60 podcasts and live sessions, shaping a distinctive sonic language of his own.

His sound brings together textured ambient layers, field recordings, analogue sub-bass, percussion processed through Arturia FX, dub chords and pads, alongside live recordings of bass guitar and traditional string instruments such as zither and gusli. Antias describes the project as a mirror of his inner state: when he wants to switch off his mind, he creates dub techno; in darker moments, broken breakbeat rhythms emerge. But in recent years, the feeling at the heart of his music has been airiness, lightness, and love — often expressed through ambient pieces recorded in nature.

For Alexey, music is a way of sharing a fragment of the love born within his family and nurtured during walks through pine forests, along rivers, and across the flooded meadows of his homeland. His work offers an escape from the concrete density of the city — a chance to close your eyes and find yourself somewhere by a river at sunset, surrounded by forest.

This mix captures exactly that feeling. One half is made up of Antias’ own productions, while the other brings together music by friends and a selection of beloved ambient compositions.

Our first meeting with Poly's ambient selection took place on HAZE boat while sailing by the river in Moscow city centre, with modern skyscrapers and Soviet historical architecture in the background. That was some time ago, and since then, we've wanted to add her musical story to our library.

Poly is a DJ, Tur vinyl label boss and a resident of Moscow’s HAZE and Mizar communities. With her sets she travelled from Europe to South America, performed at different clubs and major festivals, sharing line-ups with producers such as Cezar, Dubtil, Cally, Andrei Ciubuc, Dragomir, Lizz and many others.

This set was recorded live at HAZE Boutique ambient space at Signal festival. You will hear a high-vibrational ambient journey that ends with tracks composed by a producer when he was in high states of consciousness reached through practice of yoga, tantra, and meditation.

For the 50th edition of the podcast, we are proud to present a beautiful art piece by @r_mina. Armina is our good old friend, with whom we began our exploration of ambient and experimental music back in the day at the legendary @arma17. The team from the @do-nothing promo group decided to transform the main Gallery dancefloor into a non-dance space with experimental music, marking the beginning of a whole new world. We are honoured to feature someone from that very world, especially for this anniversary edition.

After more than a decade immersed on the dancefloor, R_Mina has stepped behind the decks and into the studio, translating years of raving into a distinct sonic identity. Shaped by formative nights at institutions like Arma17, Berghain and Tresor, her sound draws from the raw power of warehouse techno, channelled through a deeply personal lens.

Her debut ambient set unfolds like a memory—brooding, cinematic, and quietly intense. With a palette of melancholic textures and submerged melodies, R_Mina weaves together a narrative of longing and introspection, a meditation on the beauty found in shadow and silence. Blending deep, dark, anxious and pensive tracks, her ambient set brims with nostalgia and reflections of shadows from the past.

Deyan Zlatinov a.k.a @loopdeville has spent the last 15 years developing his sound starting from Comics Club, Weekend Club in his home town Varna, Bulgaria to places like London, UK and currently residing in Spain.

Releases for labels like BodyParts, Delooped, SkipAudio, Modeight, FoxonWax, Karton to name a few have given him the opportunity to travel around Europe and showcase his love for electronic music by dj-ing at various venues including the legendary CDV, Berlin.

We’re beyond excited to share a special mixtape with you from @hoavi (aka Kirill Vasin), a St Petersburg-based producer and DJ who has been an integral part of the underground scene for over a decade.

Hoavi’s journey began in the early 2010s when he founded his label, Shells Rattle, and he has since released music on labels such as floe, Snare Tapes, Peak Oil, Fauxpas, Minor Notes and ГОСТ ЗВУК. Beyond his solo work, Hoavi has collaborated with artists like Oomkah Dee, contributing to the "Collage" series, which blends sound art with contemporary dance. We've first got acquainted with his ambient side thanks to the album "Music for Six Rooms" which we also invite you to revisit. We were so taken by it at the time that we reached out to him to add one more gem to our collection.

The mix he recorded for us is a beautiful blend of genres and emotions, with ambient tracks, dubby sounds and abstract beats – a journey through soundscapes and experimental vibes. It’s not pure ambient, but the sound flows so naturally that it felt like the perfect fit for our series.

@omasoul_live is the project of musician, sound producer, and vocalist Mikhail Ostrovsky. Previously, he released electronic music under the name Coma Soul in collaboration with guitarist Andrey Efimenko. He is also the creator and bandleader of Dharmony and Ostrovsky.

Having developed a distinctive musical style, omasoul constantly experiments with sound, always seeking deeper narratives. His work offers a captivating journey, filled with the magic of the moment, telling stories through sound — perfectly aligned with the ethos of the CultKitchen Radio Show.

Bellerophontes from Montenegro – a multi-instrumentalist, composer, creator, performer, and producer of the black metal project Manastir.

Collaborated and performed with various artists, and since 2018 released seven predominantly instrumental solo albums and over 15 singles. Teaching trumpet in two elementary music schools.

Combining different musical styles, such as baroque, dark ambient, electronics, black metal and synth-wave, he created a special expression that became noted as a separate genre called Boka Drone Ambient.
