  • Motivation Monday: Week 7: The Connection Circle
    Motivation Monday Week 7:
Culture is turning into the "BUZZ" word for successful teams. It seems like a lot of teams say that we have a good culture. What does that mean? Or some teams say we do a really good job at building relationships. How do you do that, and what does it look like?
We believe that that the new superpower for coaches is the connection piece. Coaches connecting with coaches, coaches with players, and players with players.
What are you doing to connect with coaches on your staff and athletes on your team?
“I think all of those environments, whether it’s a business environment or sporting environment, are about developing people. So, if you develop your people, your business is going to be more successful. It’s just a matter of creating an environment where that becomes a happening every day.”
Sir Graham Henry, former New Zealand All Blacks Coach

  • Motivation Monday: Week 4: Your Best Effort
    1. Think of a time when you or your organization under performed?
    What was the situation?
How did you respond to your team?
What are you doing to prevent this from happening again?
    2. How can you give just a little more … to reach a better result?
When people set out on a new adventure or fail at something, one of the few common sentiments seem to be about doing your best. But what does trying your best really mean? At face value, it can mean that you did try your hardest, and put in your all towards something.
Challenge your team this week to give their BEST EFFORT in the weight room, classroom, playing field, etc. Challenge yourself to give YOUR BEST EFFORT as a coach and leader.
Try the exercise in our powerpoint and podcast and let us know how it went.

  • Motivation Monday: Week 2: Chase Butterflies

Eleven are spent watching TV or on the internet, 10.5 working, 4 are spent driving, and one year eating getting dressed, or doing mundane tasks ... All that leaves you 8 years, just 8 short years to MAXOUT YOUR LIFE. - We all have a destiny version of ourselves, the person we would be if we reach our full potential. What are you doing today to help someone to reach their full potential? Listen to the short podcast to get a clearer picture of the concept: Chase Butterflies
