Black men culturally are not brought up to feel as
highly about black women as white men feel about white women or other
groups either as far as I'm concerned...It's not just how their
families raise them, its the entire society they live in, and the
entire society's devaluation of black women. Of course there are many
that do respect black women, but the relatively high amount of the
ones that don't is the friggin topic of this discussion, and the ones
that do seem to feel like an exception, when they should just feel
that its their obligation and responsibility as a man and a black man,
as opposed to feeling like he's going out of his way to do a good deed
or something.
