best way, confusion comes with a price - it's either a bigger confusion or a

huge relief. Istanbul based DJ Ece Özel’s approach towards selection, pullulates from this

exact notion. Growing up in the city’s vibrant punk scene and being acquainted with

electronic music afterwards, surely had some effects on her style. Expect to be

carried away with transitions between styles, tempo, rhythm and mood when

she’s behind the decks. Whether it’s a mixtape or a dancefloor, Ece Özel’s mystifying, unpredictable and always fresh sounds blossom into distinctive, dark but somehow shiny

journeys. She runs her own nights and podcast series titled “Özel Zevkler”. So far many

local and global live acts and DJs took part in the series’ parties in various clubs and/or online platforms. Being one half of İstanbul based independent label Müstesna Records, she continues to shine a light on both contemporary and past Turkish electronic music scene.

ALAN x is a DJ and producer from the electronic music scene in the Netherlands. Currently

based in Istanbul, ALAN x started his music career in Rotterdam in 2002, performing under

the name Taylan Alan, before adopting the moniker ALAN x in 2023 and evolving his sound.

ALAN x's sound is a mesmerizing journey through the electronic music spectrum. It's

characterized by its ability to bridge the gap between the nostalgic golden era of electronic

music and the contemporary drive for innovation. His primary sound combines elements of

As a DJ, Wes has an affinity for sounds from across the globe, both from the past and present. With a passionate interest in history, he’s always keen to track down the stories behind the music he plays. Whether it's Brazilian boogie, Cape Verdean funaná or soulful Chicago house, one can expect it all when finding Wes behind the decks. He is also one of the driving forces behind Utrecht's club night Weerd and was a longtime host for Utrecht's Stranded FM. Now, as he made the move to Rotterdam, Wes has joined the Operator Radio roster with his monthly breakfast show Joy in the Morning.

Osman Bas, born in 1989, is a Rotterdam-based DJ, Radio host, programmer, and co-founder of the cultural institution and station Operator Radio. Osman got involved in music at a young age after thoroughly exploring the Dutch creative club scene and all it had to offer. At the age of 17, he started collecting records. Soon after, Osman decided to share his music collection with the world. His career kick-started after playing at numerous parties around the Netherlands and hosting his vinyl-only night: Analog. Osman very quickly gained recognition in the Dutch dance scene. His eclectic sets have evolved, but his music taste has always remained true to its core. Osman's Hip-Hop, Nu-soul, Soul, House, and Broken Beat. Osman is the head programmer at Operator, a station he co-founded in June 2018. He also played a key role in the evolution of the Schieblock, one of Rotterdam's creative hotspots. He now hosts his radio show every other week on Thursdays. It's called 'A Way With Music'. In this show, he examines language through music. This show has been running for the last 8 years with almost 200 episodes and counting.

Anadol is a psychedelic synth folk project by Gözen Atila, a Turkish sound artist and photographer based in Berlin. Anadol represents Gözen Atila’s liberation from a rather academic approach to electronic composition which she pursued during her music technology studies in Istanbul. She calls her education the „darkness of serious music“ where she first tried to belong, then to break free with the help of lo-fi synth pop. As a producer of radio plays and an expert field recording artist she has developed a distinct sense of timing, editing and sound design. Her Anadol project walks in the footsteps of lone synth experimentalists like Bruce Haack and The Space Lady with their childlike curiosity for electronic sounds, pushing the boundaries of minimal equipment.
