This 6th-century rock-cut statue, the world's second largest and oldest stone-carved Buddha, stands as a marvel of history and art. Despite the rush, getting tickets was smooth with the help of friendly locals. What we didn’t anticipate was the 4 km hike up the mountain! Unprepared but determined, we climbed through scenic views, peaceful Buddhist chants, and breathtaking landscapes. The moment we reached the top, standing before the towering Buddha, it was a deeply peaceful and rejuvenating experience. The energy and serenity of the place left me in awe.
