CULTURED: An Entertainment Podcast

Welcome back to season two of CULTURED! In the last stretch of this season we start off with an episode reflecting on moral ambiguity, feminism, and taking back your power. Matthew and Whitney discuss one of their favorite emerging movie tropes: women getting revenge.

A story about teenagers living in Northern Ireland during the time of the Troubles, this show has all the heart and even more of the laughs. 

Everyone loves a good adaptation; book to film, stage to screen, but nothing is worse than when beloved works are adapted poorly. In this themed episode, Matthew and Whitney tackle adaptations gone rogue. 

In the second of a three-part episode, Matthew and Whitney explore seasons two through four of Doctor Who, focusing solely on David Tennant's iteration of the iconic character. Listen in on their analysis of his portrayal, their favorite storylines from his arc, and why the Tenth Doctor remains one of their favorite depictions of the alien with two hearts in new-Who history.

The hosts discuss the uplifting and heartwarming coming of age stories of a group of queer teenagers living in rural Great Britain and how these stories touched and reflected their own experiences.  

In the first of a three-part episode, Matthew and Whitney discuss the ever-loved ninth Doctor, in Doctor Who; Christopher Eccleston. Covering series one of the beloved British sci-fi program, the hosts discuss how they became 'Whovians', why they love the show so much, and their favorite moments from the series.
