Fear drives us away. Fear closes us off to love, hope, peace, comfort and joy that God has available. It closes us off from solutions. Today we will address this topic of staying when it's easier to run away because of fear. 

We will walk through a portion of Elijah's story and see how fear played into his reaction to Jezebel's threat to take his life and therefore run away and hide. May we learn today from this story what it looks like to stay, and allow God be our strength - letting go of fear so we can see the solutions he has available for us, after all he promises He has gone ahead of us. We are face today is no surprise to him.
