I was 8 months pregnant at the time and ready for Star Wars to bless us with a new film. And bless my stars they did it. Finn, Rey, bb8, old Han, Leia, Kylo, and Poe. All of these characters made up a rich tapestry in the Skywalker Saga. Criticisms can be made about anything and this film was no exception. However I stand firm in my belief that this film was a masterpiece that brought many new fans into this universe. Saying goodbye to Han was not easy, but saying hello to Rey and the new gang was. The introduction of not one, not two, but THREE villains in one film should have been overwhelming... How did it have the space to fit Pfieffer, DeVito, and Walken into a film already starring Michael Keaton? By doing what Batman does best, sharing space for others to shine. Keaton’s subtle performance anchored this story so the bad guys could go bananas. And they did! From high-jacking THE bat-mobile, to covering up the toxic sludge polluting Gotham, all the way to Selina Kyle becoming Catwoman herself... To this day, the visuals hold up due to the use of practical effects and detailed craftsmanship. They left indelible marks upon this dark, rich, gothic tale.

Hello there! This is my first “proper” Star Wars episode! Like Anakin turning to the darkside it was a long road here. With such a vast universe surrounding Star Wars where does one even begin?! How about in a theater in 2005 at the bright age of 18... In this episode I will be discussing the moments that blew my galaxy apart at that time. Padme & Anakin are married AND having a baby? I loved seeing their young love. The Palpatine portrayal was so rich and lush I was thinking about joining the Sith myself. BUT nothing prepared me for Mustafar... I left that theater changed indefinitely & permanently. I thought I loved this universe before the yellow credits rolled onto the screen, but when it was all said & done an undying obsession was born. Now let’s enter Revenge of The Sith!

THE wedding, a little trip to Hollywood, the attempt on Vito’s life, and the Anakin Skywalker Tuscan Raider moment of Michael Corleone... One step into the dark side and it’s a hell of a slippery slope from there. He turns/steps into one of the most calculating characters of all time. A master planner, creator of his own legend & image... But we learn very quickly it’s all just a fantasy, castles made of sand that fall as quickly as they are constructed. Sounds fun!
