Preseason is wrapped up and the Rapids are back in Colorado where they belong...for a bit. Well, they're gone now, but they had been home this week to wash their socks before heading to the nation's capital to take on DC United in the 25th season opener this weekend. 

We say a respectful "Aloha" to Brian this week and a melancholy  "Aloha" to Marco Cummings who jumps on board to help us close the lid on this interminable off season (is it just us or has this break seemed to span two decdades?) and get in on the SWAG (Scientific Wild Ass Guessing) about starters and enders. Thanks for joining us and for all your support this coming season.

The end of the beginning is neigh. As the Rapids wrap this preseason jaunt to California up and return to the performance enhancing snow of the great state of Colorado, Brendan and Brian discuss an uncharacteristic win for the Burgundy Boys and look ahead to the season to come.

Happy Valentine's day #Rapids96. 

The team has been hard at work in California scrimmaging and exhibitioning...and losing...as per usual. Everyone always says not to take preseason too seriously, but as we've been saying since we started in 2016..."Can't we just win once in a damn while?"

Seriously, other teams get to take preseason seriously. The teams that play us for example. 

But we move past the result as quickly as we can and get down to the matter of personnel.  There's a couple names on the pitch that are new to some of us, and some new combinations and positioning quandries to analyze.

Plus we have some Rapids Alum news and chat a bit about the new shirt and the old shorts.

Happy New Year Rapids fans. It's good to be back talking about the team, and we picked a good week to return. The club has made some important moves wooing talent to Colorado, but will they be as successful wooing fans back to the Dick? Let's talk everything from acquisitions to frustrations as we gear up to get back into the mediocrity mindset.

It's been a whole month and a half since we at the CurrentPod have casted. Naturally, there was a lot of catching up to do. This episode is kind of like a bonus for anyone who actually cares what we've been up to over the holidays. If you don't care about our Christmas's and New Years's and travels, both past and future...feel free to skip this episode and move on to the Rapids-centric stuff,

It's been a month and a few things have happened with the Rapids. Where in the world was Cole Bassett training, how's the back line changed,  who's in, who's out? We talk some Rapids alum from both players and coaches that have moved onward. Why the hell is Nashville in the West? It's all on the table, like some delicious Thanksgiving dinner...a Thanksgiving dinner that one of us was cruelly denied this year.

The MLS Cup final is nearly upon us and we sit around avoiding picking a winner for almost an hour. Eventually, though, we ran out of Rapids stuff to talk about and everyone but Brian picked right.

Cheers to the 2019 Season

Brendan and Brian fill the offseason void with some chat about Rapids players of Christmas Future. Who will we see leave the Burgundy behind, and how do we build a team around those left that can keep up the clip we started last month?

Thank you all for your support this season. We'll be back fortnightly during the cold dark winter months.

The Rapids have closed out another season without making the playoffs. We do give the whole "Rapids Way" thing a rest this time, but we still have plenty to say about the state of the club.

Thanks for spending the season with us and we'll be back in two weeks with our new normal for the off season.
