Dan, Tim, and Jeff spend some time talking about some new games the past few weeks including Deathloop, Eastward, Valheim: Hearth & Home update, Artful Escape, and Tales of Arise. Before that, we take a look back at some of the best and most notable uses of time travel in video games. In the news, there are a number of delays to discuss as well as the recent Nvidia game list leak. Is it legit or just a wish list from the Nvidia streaming service testing team?

Sony had a State of Play presentation this week, and boy was it a DOOZY. We talk all about those announcements (such as God of War Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2, and Wolverine) as well as some newly released games like Life is strange: True Colors, Tales of Arise, and F.I.S.T. Forged in Shadow Torch. We also give our reactions to the trailer for Matrix Resurrections along with a few thoughts on the under-appreciated original trilogy.

Jeff, Kyle, and Dan are here to select the best game of 2013 using our podcast’s favorite unscientific method: a tournament. It was an incredible year for games, so which game survives to the end? Also, Dan has multiple personalities. Game Boy games might be coming to Switch Online. Shang Chi was pretty great. Marvel Midnight Suns gameplay is revealed to mixed reactions. Sony missteps with its convoluted editions of Horizon Forbidden West. THQ teases some game reveals. And a lot more!

There’s so much happening this week, and we do our best to cover it all in this episode, which kicks off with an update from a quarantined Derek and our thoughts on the latest Spider-Man movie trailer - which may or may not send us into a lengthy discussion of all the Spider-Man films [00:08:54] AND includes a visit from the web crawler himself! We also cover a huge number of headlines mostly from Gamescom [00:25:43], including the Horizon Forbidden West & Halo Infinite release dates, Geoff Keighley’s excitement about gaming, Saints Row, Valheim, LEGO Star Wars, DokeV, and a ton more. We wrap up with games we are currently playing, including our thoughts on the much-anticipated sequel: Psychonauts 2 [01:50:00].
