With the pandemic of the Covid-19 virus it's been difficult for Kaytie and I to get together and do the podcast. Hell it's difficult to even leave the house. As our state like so many others was about to go on lockdown I grabbed my mobile set up and snuck out to Kaytie's apartment. We made a drink and turned on the mics to catch up for a bit. It's funny that in the midst of all this the most talked about band on social media was going to be the early 2000's band Trapt. Their lead singer went off and said a bunch of not so nice things to say on Twitter, so yes that get's discussed here and the conversation is not for the faint of heart.

Windsor, Ontario, Canada's The Blue Stones stopped by the studio recently to introduce themselves and of course brought their acoustics with them. This two piece band came together back in 2011 and after having some minor success with the song "Black Holes (Solid Ground)" their latest single called "Shakin' Off the Rust" is about to become a top 10 rock song. It's time we meet Tarek and Justin of The Blue Stones.

"Antisocialist" is the name of the brand new Asking Alexandria song that was released on the day of this podcast. 'Like a House on Fire' is the name of their 6th studio album due out on May 15th. In honor let's talk to guitarist Ben Bruce about the new record, the evolution of the band, the new song, and why we don't care about internet haters, but we love the supporters.

By this point you should know that we like to just turn on the mics and see what happens. There's nothing better then doing that when there's a band in studio with us. The band Bones UK, Carmen, Rosie and Heavy joined Kaytie and I in studio ahead of a tour stop to talk and play some tunes, and that they did! Keep in mind this podcast is as it happened and completely unedited. You hear stuff that you didn't get to hear on air or see in the video.

Currently Bones UK are on the road with Korn and Breaking Benjamin, in March they go out with Royal Blood and they were recently nominated for a grammy! We find out how they got they start, what brought them to the states by way of London and we try to dig in and find out what makes this band tic.

James "Munky" Shaffer is of course the guitarist for the legendary Bakersfield, CA band Korn. This past September Korn released their 13th studio album 'The Nothing.' This album should go down as yet another Korn classic. Munky joins me to talk about the clarity of the record, their current tour with Breaking Benjamin & Bones UK, and that one of show with System of a Down, Faith No More and Helmet. Oh and what does one do on their day off?

Kaytie and I went backstage, well actually it was in the tour bus which was parked out front of The Bottom Lounge in Chicago to catch up with Bert Mccracken, lead singer of The Used.

We talk new album, the power of the punk rock emo kid, playing clubs versus arenas and how they just might be touring with a band that The Used had taken out on tour almost 20 years ago that are now reunited and have sold out an entire arena tour in the U.S.

While yes that sounds like the perfect title for a comeback album by an old school punk rock band, it does hold true for the subject of this week's Cutter and Kaytie only episode of Cutter's Rockcast. You may have or may not have seen the news that a major company within our industry of radio and entertainment laid off around a thousand people in order to move forward with a more technology focus. The whole thing has Blade Runner written all over it and we're kinda pissed about it. Time to vent!
