We need to go to Christ. We need to go to him in the sacraments, particularly the Eucharist. Go to sacramental confession. If you're not a member of the church get in the church. You're going to suffer either way--but your suffering needs to have meaning. Give your suffering meaning. Give your suffering to Christ. He can handle it--he carried it for 33 years. You know that the work is done, so you can go to him. There is no other way.

We see in the Garden of Eden a level of innocence and a level of trust and a level of self control; they were not ashamed they were not fearful of being taken advantage of because they lived in the perfect paradise. They had not fallen into sin yet. But those happy days were about to end.

From God's perspective it is all good. It's all good because of the ontological goodness of His creation. It's all good because of the good gifts He gives us--His grace. It's all good in spite of our failings our weakness and our sin. It's all good in spite of all of the evils that flow as a natural consequence of original sin and actual sin.

I met Renaud at a "Skeptics in the Pub" meetup, which is run by an Atheist group. I wanted to interview him because when I first met him he was very aggressive. He turned out to be very gentle and calm. He was patient with me. Nice guy.
