Eric Steinhart is a philosopher of religion specializing in new and emerging religions. Eric comes from a long line of evangelical congregationalist preachers. He no longer identifies as Christian, but does not see much value in the label atheist either. It was a fun chat.

In this episode I briefly introduce the famous "Problem of Induction" and give two simple examples of how we can use the purely deductive "Reduction to Absurdity" technique to arrive at 100% logical certainty concerning not only mathematical truths, but even fundamental principles of physical science.

This episode was inspired by two very different CVS listeners, John Revell and Robert White. I talk about solipsism and the irrational abuse of our freedom and every other good gift from our loving God, who is, in spite of our selfish tantrums, courting us with limitless patience. The bottom line: get over yourself, and let yourself be seduced by the King of Kings.

I met Lucas about 10 years ago. He got my attention at a dinner party when he announced that he had met and talked with angels. We had some heated exchanges via email at that time, but I think we have both mellowed with age. I haven't seen him in a while, and so I'm glad he agreed to be interviewed. I enjoyed our brief chat.

This is my first ever "in absentia" ersatz interview. It was inspired by its namesake, Robert White, whom I have never met in real life, as far as I know--although that would be even more hilarious. Going into this I knew nothing about Mr. Ra, but from his picture I knew I had a real character on my hands. He did not disappoint. The more I listen to him, the more I like him. I have a special fondness for that charming combination of gruff hostility and naive innocence. And he's funny, too--I have never laughed so much during an interview.
