Its been a #WordsSpeakLife Summer for sure to say the least‼️ With drops from #AvenueBLVD and this week’s esteemed guest Yanna G to the #NaySpeaks headlined show at The Sinclair this past Sunday.. needless to say THE TEAM IS WORKING‼️ This week’s talk is all about the songwriter/crooner from Dorchester, Yanna G, and her story that makes her music so much more enjoyable.
Going into this year we didn’t know much about the basketball star turned full time artist but we have the chance to sit her down and break down her latest release “On Everything I Love” which was produced entirely by #ChaseNChase. Coming from an athletic and creative family, Yanna G was blessed to have multiple talents and given what we’ve heard about her ability on the court vs what she creates in the booth, she could’ve made it hooping or by her chosen path of writing and performing. This podcast was more-so about her being and her nature; the underlying grit of her environment growing up but wrapped into a Neo-Soul-ish embrace of warmth and understanding. We think once you listen to or watch this interview it will instantly make you fall in love with everything Yanna G‼️

Lyricism has always been one of the core elements of Hip Hop. While the mainstream juggernauts sometimes allow us to forget that with very easily consumable rap, it’s wildly refreshing to discover younger artists who still focus on the sophistication of substance in music. FUNERAL Ant Bell has been one of these said artists since we learned about his music a few years back and it only seems like he just keeps getting better and better. Its been 4 years since the first time we’ve had Clark D on the podcast and A LOT has changed for both platforms since then to say the least.
