Amos 3:1-8

We learn from the apostles what it means to meet the needs of the flock while prioritizing what God prioritizes. Learn how the apostles dealt with their leadership void and the value of a biblical approach.

Acts 5:12-25

Last week we looked at what it meant to live an unsafe gospel life, one unafraid of risk. This week we look to the apostles as a testimony of faith that is unwavering. We ought to obey God rather than men!  

Acts 5:12-25

The lost world has an obsession with safety, which is an aversion to difficulty, conflict, suffering, and pain. This culture of safety-ism has impacted God's people by producing complacent Christians, unwilling to take risks in faith. Acts 5 shows us a young church, willing to put its safety on the line for the sake of God's glory. 

Acts 4:33-5:11

Here we see the church growing in numbers but also growing in strength. So often in churches today physical growth results in accommodations and compromises that eventually dilute the mission. What can we learn from these early believers to help us through times of transition? We also find two testimonies of giving: The Patron & The Impostors. What might we be holding back from God? Are we in danger of hypocrisy?

Acts 4:21-32

On the heels of oppression from the religious rulers, the apostles retreated to a corporate prayer meeting among their friends. The early believers teach us great things from their prayer lives.  What value does corporate prayer have?  What should the content of our prayers be when the church comes together? What do we pray in times of ministry crisis and oppression?   

Acts 4:1-23

There is so much fear and anxiety in our world today. So many Christians in our world are hindered in their witness because they are afraid of cultural rejection and retribution.   For the Christian, fear is the fabrication of lies that call us to question the authority of God. The apostles Peter and John teach us in Acts 4 how to be bold and face rejection with joy and confidence in Christ.
