Interested in cyber security but not sure where to start, this podcast highlights that there is a role for anyone who is interested in a career in cyber security.

The first episode of the Cyber Security Grit is dedicated to all the amazing women in cyber security. In this episode host Sam Rule describes the journey of how she started her cyber security career. Her journey was not a linear one. She started out in travel and tourism where she learnt the meaning of GRIT and that perseverance and determination would lead to success and breaking her first glass ceiling. In this first podcast, Sam speaks about how skills from other career choices became very valuable when later navigating her way through the cyber security industry. She describes how there is a role for anyone who has an interest and passion for cyber security; and that there are roles for people regardless of whether they're interested in the human element or technologists who are application security experts or cloud security engineers.  Cyber security needs individuals from diverse backgrounds to successfully  defend against  threat actors.  Having GRIT is a key element to having a successful cyber security career.
