What does it take to go from hating your period to building your life and work around a completely different relationship with your menstrual cycle?
In this first episode of Cyclicality, I’m sharing my menstrual cycle story and the experiences that led me to become a Menstrual Cycle Educator & Coach and Fertility Awareness Teacher.
I talk about growing up with painful and very irregular periods, being diagnosed with PCOS (now called PMOS), spending years on the birth control pill, and what happened when I decided to stop taking it.
I also share the questions, anger and curiosity that emerged when I started learning about my hormones, fertility, menstrual cycle and cyclical body in a way I never had before.
That journey ended up becoming something much bigger than understanding my own cycle. It changed the way I understood my body, my energy, my emotions and my relationship with myself, and led me to the work I do today.
I’ll also share the vision behind Cyclicality: a menstrual-affirming world where body literacy and cycle awareness are part of everyday life, cyclical bodies are understood and respected, and women and menstruators have the knowledge, autonomy and support to build their own relationship with their cycles.
This is the story of how I got here, why I do this work, and the world I hope we can help create together.
