This series is a verse by verse study of 1 Corinthians. Paul writes to the church he founded in the most important city in Greece. A few years after Paul moves on, he writes this letter to answer the issues and confusion experienced by the Corinthian church. These words are extremely relevant to the church today. It reveals the problems, pressures, and struggles of God’s people called out of a pagan culture. Division, spiritual pride, sexual immorality, lawsuits, and misuse of the Lord’s Table are some of the matters addressed. This word from God is applicable to us now, clearing up any confusion about our identity in Christ, and how to carry out his mission in our world.
