If I could have an advent calendar it would have an airline ticket and accommodation information for 31 different destinations. I really need a holiday
ADAM
I had an sealey tools advent calendar once. Different piece of the tool kit each day. I now use it in the camper
ISOBEL
I don’t mean to brag! But me and Harry bought each other a hawkstone larger calendar this year. Comes equipped with 13 beers, 6 ciders, mixtures of their vodka and gin, and of course some suprise merch.
Safe to say, we’ll be drinking our way to Christmas this year!
JOHN from CLACTON
Growing up in the early 80’s, I remember my advent calendars just being 24 pictures of nativity scenes and the anticipation and wonder of each picture as they got bigger every day was something else. No chocolate or toys….just a bloody picture!!
These days, my wonderful wife buys me 24 bottles of various mystery beers that are clad in wrapping paper and I pick one each day. I know which calendar I prefer
KERRY
Christmas has started when you start opening your calendars.
They have definitely gone up in the world since I was a kid. I was well happy to get one with a tiny piece of plastic moulded into something rubbish. Half the time you couldn’t even tell what it was supposed to be but it beat a picture behind a door.
In recent years crispy (her husband) has got me cheese, and pork scratchings (both winners) but has smashed it with the calendar for the ultimate coffee wanker.
A packet of beans for my coffee machine every morning and a little guide with where its is from, what flavours it contains and a little marks out of 10 chart (which I will be doing) what better way to start the day!
I loved getting milo the Lego Star Wars calenders. Although I think I mostly made the Lego and he was just excited about the figures. But then who could blame him, who doesn’t want a c3po figure dressed as Santa or r2d2 with antlers.
I think if I could have any calender I’d have a jewellery one. Imagine if Tiffany’s made a calender where you got something sparkly every day
