Here is the Movie Recap of In Time. Humans are genetically programmed to stop aging at 25, when a one-year clock on their forearm starts. After zero, the person "times out" and dies. Time has thus become the universal currency, traded directly or saved in "time capsules". Most residents in Dayton, an industrial "ghetto" where people rarely have over 24 hours on their clocks, are poorer than those in New Greenwich. Will Salas, 28, lives with his mother Rachel, 50, in Dayton. He saves an inebriated 105-year-old named Henry Hamilton from Fortis and his Minutemen, a gang of time-stealing bandits. It turns out that the people of New Greenwich hoard much of the time, while raising prices to keep the poorer people dying. To avoid waking Will the next morning, he falls off a bridge before Will can stop him. Raymond Leon, 75, the leader of a Timekeeper-like organization, believes Will robbed and killed Hamilton. To celebrate their friendship, Will meets his buddy Borel, who urges him not to spend too much time in Dayton. After spending all but 90 minutes of her time repaying a two-day loan, Rachel is short on bus fare. While trying to flee to Dayton, she meets Will just in time and passes out in his arms. Devastated by his mother's death, Will plans to exact vengeance on the residents of New Greenwich. Then, in New Greenwich, Will meets Philippe Weis and Sylvia, a 110-year-old time loaner. Will nearly loses a millenium while playing poker but eventually wins it. Will buys a new sports car to go to Sylvia's celebration. Raymond arrives and arrests Will, who denies killing Hamilton. Rather than convict Will, he just confiscates all but 2 hours of his time, claiming it belongs in Dayton. Foris' gang ambushes them, seizing the majority of their time and leaving them with 30 minutes each. To Borel's dismay, Will tries to reclaim his time, but his wife Greta sobs that he's dead Selling Sylvia's earrings gets them a day each. A 1,000-year ransom demanded by Will into the time-mission for the needy Will releases Sylvia despite Weis' refusal. Sylvia shoots Raymond in the arm when he finds Will. Will lets Raymond live long enough for his squad to discover him and steal his automobile. The two plunder Weis' time banks, giving the extra time capsules to the poor, but quickly find they can't do much, as prices only rise quicker to compensate for the extra time, and the system collapses. Fortis' crew ambushes them, but Will time out Fortis in an arm wrestling bout and then shoots his thugs. A million-year capsule from Weis' vault is stolen by him and Sylvia. Raymond chases them back to Dayton but cannot stop them from stealing time. Raymond times out after forgetting to download his day's pay. Taking Raymond's pay allows Will and Sylvia to stay employed. Dayton manufacturing close as everyone has ample time and quits their work, according to TV reports. Raymond's coworker Jaeger urges the Timekeepers to return home after witnessing the effects of his fixation. Will and Sylvia go on to bigger banks, continuously crashing the system.
