The Democratic Alliance has raised alarm over the sharp rise in hospital-acquired infections across Gauteng's public hospitals. DA Health Shadow MEC Dr Jack Bloom says over 7,700 patients contracted infections last year, many antibiotic-resistant and life-threatening.
