During the talk about Denji and all his lovely chainsaw adventures, Da Bois are still waiting for that plot development to hit within the universe, however are hit with an amazing amount of action in very beautiful sequences as well as a soothing scene of Hayakawa. Speaking of Hayakawa, Enrique’s prediction of him being the super serious cool boy was in fact true and extremely satisfying to see his powers revealed! In the main event of the podcast this week, we enter the fantastic world of Summer Time Rendering which takes a hodgepodge of concepts and smashes them together to create a universe filled with mystery. During the discussion, Enrique talks about all of the connective tissue and little hints sprinkled throughout the show that are thoroughly explained at different intervals, Eli talks about the hype he generated for the final stretch of episodes in the series, and Da Bois agree that while the epilogue of the series could be considered unnecessary, it is the best closer for any show that they have seen in a very long time, of not ever!

Series Synopsizes:

Chainsaw Man is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. Its first part was serialized in Shueisha's shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from December 2018 to December 2020; its second part began serialization in Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ online magazine in July 2022. Its chapters have been collected in 12 tankoban volumes as of October 2022. Chainsaw Man follows the story of Denji, an impoverished young man who makes a contract that fuses his body with that of a dog-like devil named Pochita, granting him the ability to transform parts of his body into chainsaws. Denji eventually joins the Public Safety Devil Hunters, a government agency focused on fighting against devils whenever they become a threat to the world.

Summer Time Rendering is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yasuki Tanaka. It was serialized on Shueisha's digital magazine Shonen Jump+ from October 2017 to February 2021. An anime television series adaptation by OLM aired from April to September 2022. A live-action film, a real escape game, and a video game have also been announced.

Da Binge Bois are going to sleep, as we return to cover Stephen King's sequel to the legendary book & film The Shining, Doctor Sleep along side talking about Chainsaw Man's third episode and the season finale of the House of The Dragon series! To start we get into House of The Dragon and heavily discuss our criticisms of the show and admit while it is written extremely well and is executing what it is intending to do, those decisions turn us off from the show. We also discuss how the timeskip heavily hurt the development of many of the characters as they lost traits off screen and we don't understand what exactly made them change so much. We then head into talking about Chainsaw Man episode 3 and being to ponder if the reason the show is so popular is the production quality or the hype from manga readers, as through 3 episodes we aren't sure why there is so much meat succ for the series. To close out, Da Bois talk about Doctor Sleep and Eli & Enrique disclose that they have not actually seen The Shining so the weren't completely aware of the full context of the movie while watching it and had to research certain topics. For Eli, his love of Ewan McGregor carried his enjoyment for the movie, for Enrique it did not. DA BINGE BOIS RETURN ONCE AGAIN TO START GANG FIGHTS, as we travel into the universe of popular anime and manga Tokyo Revengers, alongside Chainsaw Man’s second episode and the penultimate episode of House of The Dragon. To start the show we hit up HoTD talking about how much every character is a massive evil bastard and there is still no one to cheer for to win, instead you must cheer for chaos to truly enjoy the show at this point. In Chainsaw Man, we see the arrival of Aki Hayakawa and we see him deliver the Muay Thai knees to Denji before he gets kicked in the gonads and the entrance of Fiend Power who will join the squad alongside Denji and Hayakawa. To close the show we talk about the first season of Tokyo Revengers and all the beautiful and not so pretty things that occur. We talk about our issues with the time travel and highlight similarities between the warping in this show and Erased, how these are very young children getting into very serious conflicts involving many deplorable acts over unseen goals, and how Mikey and Draken are highlight characters from the series. DA BINGE BOIS ARE WATCHING WAY TOO MANY SHOWS THIS WEEK, as Da Bois return to review 4 COUNT EM, 4 different pieces of content this week. We start off with House of The Dragon and how we have grown bored of the unlivable characters and lack of overall development plot wise. Zombie Viserys is cool tho. We move onto the Rings Of Power season 1 finale and talk about how the show teased many things that didn’t occur in the season with trailers, and how they used all of their coins on episode 6, while hoping the reveals of Sauron and Gandalf would be enough to entice viewers to a second season. We begin our journey with a HIGHLY anticipated anime, Chainsaw Man, and give our initial impressions of the beautiful animation and interesting concept that was shown in the first episode of this possible new classic. To wrap up our show, we talk about the most interesting movie we possibly could have done, as three highly unqualified individuals Fight Club. During that discussion, Enrique talks about how he knew the twist so he watched for connections and hints to that throughout the movie, Eli found himself bored since he didn’t know the twist but was interested once it was starting to unravel, and Tristan guides the two newbies through the movie he has already seen. DA BINGE BOIS ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE STONE WARS, as we return to discuss the second season of the anime Dr Stone as well as continuing the House of The Dragon and Rings of Power, HOWEVER this time we add in a spicy addition to our review series by talking about She-Hulk Attorney At Law’s eighth episode which stars the legend Daredevil AKA Matt Murdock. While talking about House of Dragon we hate on the entire season as it’s getting old and with no one to cheer for the enjoyability of the series drops every episode. In Rings of Power, our prediction for what would happen in this episode comes true as the penultimate episode serves as a breather to prepare for what should be an epic conflict in the finale of the first season. With the not-so-surprise return of our great friend Matt Murdock, we talk about his depiction in this series versus the Netflix one, how She Hulk is actually a decent character surrounded by a messy plot and show and how the Hallway scene did not live up to the other scenes from Daredevil due to the non one cut nature of it. To wrap up our great evening of Television talk, we enter our discussion of Dr Stone season 2, The Stone Wars! In it we discuss how it lines up versus the first season, the adventures of Senku and friends and how Senku and Gen are the devils team, Senku and Tsukasa being the world's strongest tag team, and the revival of Ryusui in the bonus episode that bridges the second and upcoming third season. Before we get into our discussion of Dr. Stone, we must cover our weekly episode reviews of both House of The Dragon and Rings of Power! In House of The Dragon, the time skip finally occurred and we got new actresses for Rhaenyra and Alicent, along with new developments and even more incest within House Targaryen. Daemon does his whole own Daemon side quest like he normally does and somehow doesn’t show up to cause mass hysteria! In Rings of Power, we follow along with Galadriel and Isildur as they arrive at the village with the Black Elf dude and the mother of the kid he saved, to save them from the Uruk invasion! Or so they thought as the Uruks unleash their secret weapons to attempt to steal the victory! As the main event of the podcast this week, we enter into Dr. Stone season 1. Which Enrique is extremely familiar with as he read the manga in its entirety of its original run! During the discussion Eli and Tristan rave over the characters and which ones were there personal favorites with Enrique liking Chrome best and Tristan being team Ginro, how the plot is very fresh compared to many other anime, and ponder the question of how many people would you need to restart society without mass effects from inbreeding? On our journey with House of The Dragon we talk about how none of the characters are likeable or feel worth supporting except for many Alicent, and how Daemon is just constantly on Demon Time with every move he makes. In Rings of Power, Enrique discusses his newfound hatred of the series and how he would drop it if he wasn’t watching it for the podcast, and how there is STILL too much going on despite only 3 episodes remaining. And to wrap up we went into The Nice Guys with Russel Crowe and Ryan Gosling which was a surpassingly good experience! We talk about how the child actress in this was the girl from Spider-Man: Homecoming who is the morning news anchor, how Ryan Gosling played a fantastic likable dimwit who carried the comedy, and how the last act was the worst part of the entire movie despite still being fine!
