The Democratic Alliance has welcomed the Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube's, decision to halt the issuing of a R9.8 billion tender that would have centralized procurement for the National School Nutrition Programme (NSNP) under a single provider. Currently, each province manages its own School Nutrition Programme, which delivers at least one meal daily to over 9.6 million learners.
