We're back! After a short break, Dad and the Vet Tech return for Episode 4 - and Stella made sure the comeback was anything but calm. From nearly unplugging the studio to refusing to move, she set the tone perfectly for everything that followed.
In this episode we catch up with Alice, dive into some real clinic cases including a cat rescued from a house fire that arrived covered in soot and went straight into an oxygen chamber, and share one of the most heartbreaking stories we've told yet. a cat sitter who held a photo of the owners up to their cat during its final moments so it wouldn't be alone.
We also talk about the giant white cat that followed the Vet Tech and her sister the entire length of the street on a walk, tick season arriving way too early and the very real danger of counterfeit flea and tick collars causing seizures in dogs. We debate whether porcupines actually shoot their quills.
And then there's Wilma, our wiener dog that eats everything, raw onions , a discarded hamburger she refused to surrender even under protest, and a long piece of sidewalk bubble gum she chewed like she had nowhere to be. She has never lost one of these battles.
We close out with the 2 and 2 — two good animal stories from the news and two not so good , because the world isn't all sunshine and rainbows and neither is this podcast.
