This week Rebekah listened to Now 16 which was released in November 1989 and is the last NOW to be released in the 80s, so for the CD version, 3 bonus tracks were added which didn't feat[ure on the LP or cassette versions. Artists feature included Tears for Fears, Erasure, Queen, Wet Wet Wet, Tine Turner and Kate Bush.

This week Rebekah listened to Now That's What I Call Music volume 15, which was released in August 1989 and is the penultimate NOW album from the 80s. Artists featured included the Pet Shop Boys, Queen, Simple Minds, Bananarama, INXS and Roxette

NOW 14 was the 1st Now to feature 2 songs with the same title. Featured artists included Duran Duran, Erasure, Simple Minds, Phil Collins and INXS

This week Rebekah listened to Now That's What I Call Music volume 13 which was released in November 1988 and was the only NOW to top both the album chart and compilation chart following the introduction of the compilation chart which all future NOW releases would be charting. Now 13 featured Duran Duran, Erasure, The Human League, The Proclaimers and Phil Collins

This week Rebekah listened to Now That's What I Call Music volume 12 which was released in July 1988 and was the first NOW to feature a Hawaiian artist. NOW 12 is also the only time that metal legends Iron Maiden appeared as well as a band who feature with their #1 single which they achieved without being signed to a major record label...listen to find out more

This week Rebekah listened to Now That's What I Call Music volume 11 which was released in March 1988 and saw the 1st appearance of Kylie Minogue who is currently ranked #3 of the most featured female artist with 23 appearances. This volume also has Elton John's Candle In The Wind which is the UK's biggest selling song since records began. Other artists featured include Pet Shop Boys, Wet Wet Wet, Bananarama, Billy Ocean and Belinda Carlisle

This week Rebekah listened to NOW That's What I Call Music volume 10 which was the first in the series to have an identical tracklist across vinyl, cassette & compact disc. This was also the biggest selling compilation at the time and would be a while until it was beaten. Artists featured include Wet Wet Wet, The Style Council, Erasure and the Pet Shop Boys

This week Rebekah listened to Now That's What I Call Music volume 9 which was released in March 1987 and saw the debuts of both Erasure & Bon Jovi although Bon Jovi wouldn't appear again until Now 34!! Vince Clarke's previous band Yazoo never appeared while his other previous band Depeche Mode didn't appear until Now 17. Now 9 was also the first Now to feature a Levi's ad song.

This week Rebekah got to listen to Now That's What I Call Music Volume 8 which was released in November 1986 and included the only original Top of the Pops theme song to appear on a Now album. Featured artists include Duran Duran, Pet Shop Boys, Human League, Madness & Genesis.
